“show business” is the new way my interns/PGI are describing their life in medicine. either, they are play acting a lot or they just wanted the adulation of the common people.
the term breath its own life and almost everybody (at least in the medical field) here in Cebu refers medicine as “show business” and if your not an MD, you are referred to as non-showbiz.
here it goes…. who’s you BF? is he showbiz?… nah, he’s not showbiz, he’s a lawyer.
Ooooh… That “show business”! Hehehe. I’ve heard the use of “show business” in that context a couple of times. It makes me think about the bubble med life sometimes traps you in and everything outside of it becomes just outside of it.
Hello there, doctor! Thanks for viewing my blog. Hope you drop by again. God bless you!!!

hi, pam! i don’t know if you know me, I’m Ma’am Claire, one of the evil seniors who conducted your final oral exams for you
anyway, i just want to wish you good luck with residency. it’s not going to be easy, but it can be very rewarding also. you’ll definitely learn a lot. and if you’re lucky, your batchmates will not just be your batchmates, but the best friends you will have. ganoon kami ng batch ko!
sayang hindi ko kayo makakawork, won’t be going to fellowship kasi. maybe pag 2nd years na kayo.
i’m new to the whole public blogging culture, so i’ve been exploring – hence my stumble upon your site. drop by mine if you have the time.
thank you for wishing me luck… hay, I know that residency will be very difficult for me. I wasn’t really expecting to get accepted in IM but I think that it becomes a good thing that I could tell myself during tough times that I wanted to be here and I am lucky to be here
im just passing by. nice blog. the other side of being in show business.

Indeed a quickie (but insane?) getaway from the hohums of your medical life. An alter ego perhaps?
Keep blogging!
